Who we are looking for

Writers

You know a subject deeply and you can make a reader care about it.

History, language, literature, cinema, the quiet corners of culture that rarely get written about well. We are not looking for listicles or SEO filler — we are looking for one good idea, argued properly, in plain English.

  • —One article, a short series, or a regular column
  • —English only; we help with editing, not with rewriting
  • —Your own author page, byline and links

Teachers

You teach for a living and you have something real to say about it.

Teacher's Notes is the section for practising teachers: what actually happened in your classroom, what worked, what failed, the exercise you now use every single time. No theory for the sake of theory.

  • —Classroom stories, methods, honest post-mortems
  • —Worksheets and materials, credited to you
  • —Any subject and any age group, not only languages

Experts & guests

You are a historian, a linguist, a translator, a curator, a researcher.

If you work with a field we write about, we would like to hear from you — whether that means a guest essay, a conversation, or simply telling us we got something wrong in an article we published.

  • —Guest essays and interviews
  • —Corrections and expert review
  • —Longer collaborations, if it works for both sides

How to apply

There is no form and no application portal. Everything starts with an email.

01

Write to us

Send an email to info@putnikschool.com with a short note about yourself and what you would like to write.

02

Send an idea, not a CV

A few sentences about the article you have in mind tells us far more than a formal résumé. A link to something you have written already is welcome but not required.

03

We reply

A real person reads every email. If the idea fits, we will talk about the shape of the piece, the length and the timing. If it does not, we will say so honestly.

A note on payment

The Put’ is young and small. Most of what we publish today is written by people who care about the subject rather than about a fee — including us. We will always be straight with you about what we can and cannot offer before you write a single word, and every author keeps their byline, their author page and the right to republish their own work elsewhere.
